Ryada, a microfinance program that operates in the Palestinian Territories seeks to hire a Credit Officer in its office in Ramallah City.
Major Roles and
Responsibilities
-Support implementation of credit activities at the branches level and ensure credit policies, procedures and standards are followed.
-Observe and analyze credit performance of each branch office (portfolio quality, loan application, collections, etc.).
-Provide cash flow analysis, technical assistance to each branch team as needed.
-Prepare and Participate in loan review committee meetings.
-Train loan officers on financial analysis and provide new tools to facilitate work.
-Participate in establishing credit policies and procedures in coordination with Operational Manager.
-Assist HR Manager on training for RYADA line staff including development of training materials.
-Solicit, collect, validate, reclassify, adjust and analyze financial data and information and produce periodic reports on portfolio quality and performance.
-Study and Analyze delinquent loans. Assist and recommend for credit and collaterals policy update
-Dealing with problem loans and follow up with the lawyers.
-Performs other duties as directed by the Operation Manager or General Manager.
Qualifications:
-BA in finance, accounting, economics or any other financial degree, MA, MBA is a plus
-At least 2 years’ experience in credit /financial positions previous experience with Microfinance / banking is a plus.
-Has organized, systematic leadership and analytical skills.
-Must be knowledgeable in various computer software programs including Microsoft Office package of word processing, Excel spread sheets, and able to set up data bases for work matters.
Skills/Knowledge
-Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
-Knowledge of methods and techniques in the design and formulation of projects and programs.
-Experience managing and maintaining a database
-Knowledge of need assessment and survey methods and techniques.
-Excellent networking, coordination and organization skills
-Strong, ability to work in a high paced environment, attention to details, ability to work independently,
