organization that uses the transformative power of Sport and Play to build
essential skills in children’s life which drive social change in communities
affected by war, poverty and disease and is currently implementing similar
programs in Palestine. Right To Play is a child-centered organization. Our

Purpose :
RTP is looking
for a Field Supervisor based in Gaza. The Supervisor is primarily responsible
for conducting trainings and coordination of the project that RTP is
implementing in Gaza under the guidance of the PC. This involves implementing
and monitoring the project and its activities in order to achieve the set goals
and objectives as effectively and efficiently as possible ensuring consistency
with RTP’s strategy and commitments. The role includes providing trainings for
leaders at Community Based Organizations based in Gaza.
Objective:
Conduct
training, monitoring, reporting of projects within the decided framework /
project plan.
Liaise with local institutions, sports volunteers, teachers and
community coaches to support project implementation.
Tracking and follow up
of numbers of leaders and partners.
Ensure submission of timely internal
reports to the PC.
The provision of Right to Play trainings for leaders at
community based organizations.
Raise awareness of the Sport and Play as a
tool for development.
Responsibilities
1-Responsible for
the appropriate coordination, preparation, planning, implementation of the
projects in Gaza within the project work plan:
Carry out collection
of data and support PC in needs assessment, including baseline.
Participate
in Right to Play staff training in order to transfer methodologies to the field
and targeted areas.
Participate in developing annual activity plans.
Make
monthly and quarterly work plans.
Collect information for documentation and
lessons learned and share with PC and other staff related to this
project.
Monitor project activities in Gaza are implemented in line with
RTP’s policies and methodologies.
Monitor activities and practices are in
line with RTP’s Child Protection policy.
2-Ensures submission of
timely internal reports to the PC:
Submit activity reports based on agreed
templates and frequency .
Provide data in order to compile narrative reports
as per requirements.
Participate in project meetings as per requirements,
mainly in Gaza and occasionally in West Bank.
3-Build and maintain
good working relationship with stakeholders:
Liaise with relevant
stakeholders, communities and (I)NGOs in Gaza where necessary, including a
clear understanding of this project.
As per request from PC, attend
coordination meetings in Gaza.
Support in organizing external visits to
Gaza.
Required
Qualifications:
At least university BA
degree in a relevant field (such as social science, development studies,
Physical education, or any related field).
Previous experience in working
with women, youth and children.
Commitment to a community-led process of
development.
Ability to work under pressure.
Experience in advocacy and
communication campaigns.
Solid team player, creative, motivated, and strong
social and communicative skills for coaching of staff, networking and frequent
internal and external contacts.
Ability to establish effective and working
relations with local partners and communities.
Good planning and
organizational skills.
Data collection and reporting skills.
Experience in
working with or interacting with youth, children and young people, and a proven
track record of upholding child safety practices.
Fluent in written and
spoken English and Arabic.
Ability to move between project sights in
Gaza.
Driving licence is an asset.
