Action Against Hunger (ACF) is a humanitarian, non-governmental, non-political, non-denominational and non-profit making organisation working in the Palestinian Territory since 2002.
ACF is recruiting for its Gaza office a Two Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Field Officers
Initial 2 months
The Candidate will:
-Ensure implementation of activities defined by the Programme Manager.
-Schedule activities according to project development.
-Coordinate activities and sensitize local partners in the field.
-Participate in the design of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) problem statements, concept papers and projects in collaboration and coordination with programme manager.
-Participate in permanent information gathering from other NGOs, institutions, local authorities and other key actors about local WASH situation in coordination with programme manager.
-Maintain and cultivates relations at technical level with counterparts, beneficiaries and other external actors related to ACF activities.
-Participate in the drafting of technical documents related to implementation of WASH activities (terms of reference, technical studies or surveys, tender reports, announcements, technical evaluation and final reports, etc.)
-Draft and disseminate weekly report (to be sent to WASH Programme Manager and Coordinator)
Profile of the Candidate:
-Advanced university degree in engineering studies.
-Minimum five years of relevant professional experience in school/infra structure and household construction projects for international organisations or national NGOs.
-Demonstrable experience in project cycle management.
-Fluency in English and Arabic (spoken and written).
-Strong computer skills.
-Good interpersonal, analytical and communications skills.
-Valid driving license.
-Ability to work with team and under pressure.
