JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

Position: Part time Medical Laboratory Technologist.

Department: Department: Medical laboratory of Holy Family hospital.

Overview:

1. Maintain positive working relationship with the medical team and hospital personnel.

2. Works independently as a phlebotomist.

3. Possesses adequate knowledge of instrumentation, theory and application of major laboratory tests.

4. Assumes responsibility to resolve and identify instrumentation problems and should be capable of performing the regular required preventive maintenance procedures.

5. Follows the Laboratory policy for data retrieval, record keeping, specimen handling and identification, and reporting of results.

6. Follows the Laboratory guidelines for handling, processing and interpreting the obtained results of QC materials.

Requirements:

1. Education: BA degree in Medical Technology Sciences OR a BA degree in Biology Minored Medical technology. Holders of an MA degree are preferable.

2. Candidates practically experienced in Medical Microbiology are desired.

3. Residents from Bethlehem district are favored.

4. Individuals qualifying for this position must be licensed for the job from the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
