United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees invites
applications from qualified candidates for the post of:
Area Education
Officer
1.

Department : Education Department
4.
Basic Salary : 1,056.2 JD that varies in accordance to the pay policies set by
the Agency. Other fringe benefits include provident fund & health
insurance.
5.
Allowances : Family Allowances payable up to 7 children and spouse.
An
allowance of 35% as Special Occupational Allowance.
6.
Qualifications:
• An
advanced university degree in education or in a subject taught in UNRWA
schools.
• At
least seven years experience in teaching or instructing in subjects relevant to
those taught in URNWA schools of which at least three years experience as a
School Principal in a similar administrative/supervisory capacity.
•
Excellent command of spoken and written Arabic.
•
Good command of spoken and written English.
Competencies
•
Proven skills in management and leadership.
•
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others in
team working environment.
•
Demonstrated ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
•
Ability to work under pressure and meet target deadlines.
•
Problem solving and decision making skills.
•
Proficiency in the standard PC applications used by the Agency.
Desirable
Qualifications
• PhD
in education or a related subject.
•
Possession of a valid driving license.
Additional
Information
The
incumbent may be required to work beyond the regular working hours.
