School Coordinator -
Diyar
Academy for Children and
Youth
Position
Description:
Under the
supervision of the Manager of Diyar Academy for Children and Youth, The
Coordinator performs all duties necessary to ensure the successful functioning
and establishment of the Music School at the Diyar Academy for Children and
Youth.
Main Duties and
Responsibilities:
• To be
responsible for managing all activities relating to the smooth running of the
Music School.
• To be
responsible for the establishment and implementation of the music
curriculum.
• To register
students, schedule classes and organize recitals.
• To follow up and
communicate all information and procedures to students, their families and the
music instructors.
• To help in the
hiring process of musicians and instructors.
• To rent,
purchase and maintain all music instruments and necessary equipment (percussion
instruments, etc).
• To respond to
all inquiries and requests regarding the Music School.
• To continuously
evaluate the curriculum to make sure it meets student’s needs and his/her
musical aspirations.
• To support the
development of the Music School, its events and activities.
• S/He is
responsible for the PR and marketing of the Music School.
The candidate
should have the following qualifications:
• An educational
background in music or long-term music training and experience is
required.
• Able to work
long and flexible hours and under pressure.
• S/He has strong
organizational skills, and a commitment to follow through with
tasks.
• S/He has
willingness to work as a team player.
• Able to
integrate and encourage children with special educational needs to achieve music
knowledge and understanding.
• Possesses
excellent analytical, professional, written and verbal communication and
interpersonal skills both in Arabic and English.
• Committed to

Considerations:
*Job starts on May
15th 2013 for one renewable year depending on the applicant’s achievements.
