MSF-France “Doctors without
Borders” is currently seeking to hire an Outreach Worker for its
Psycho-Socio-Medical program in Nablus.
The
post location will be Nablus City with movements throughout Nablus District,
Qalqilya District and North West Bank, mainly in the villages, on a full time
basis starting from May 26, 2013.
Main goal of this
position:
Develop and refine the MSF
mental health intervention in communities by analyzing the local context and
identifying vulnerable communities/families/individuals, strengthening the
existing contact network and developing new ones, representing MSF and
reporting.
Requirements:

Education: Social Worker/Counselor.

Arabic mother tongue; English language proficiency both written and spoken
(Mandatory).

Natural human touch and diplomacy skills.

Good computer (Excel/Word) and report writing skills.

Good knowledge of Palestinian tradition and culture.
-
Willingness to work in insecure environment and to accept strict security
rules.

Strong team spirit.
-
Strong motivation to work with a humanitarian organization.

Good organizational skills.
-
Able to recognize own limitations and to seek support from
supervisors.

Problem solving attitude and able to prioritize the work.
-
Previous experience in mental health is an asset.
-
Previous experience with NGO’S is an asset.
