Islamic Relief Palestine (IRPAL), in partnership with the Swiss
Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC),
is responsible for
the implementation of a new TVET/LM project entitled Enhancing Youth
Employability in the Gaza Strip. The overall goal of the Enhancing Youth
Employability (EYE) project is to improve youth employability in the Gaza Strip
while, at the same time, improving the overall TVET system in the Gaza Strip.
IRPAL is seeking a qualified and experienced senior international consultant
within the following conditions:
Position: Junior Local Short Term Expert (LSTE) in Training Needs
Analysis and Human Resource Development Planning
Work Location: Based in Gaza Strip
Duration: 30 work days in the Gaza Strip between Junes – July 2013
Qualifications and Skill Requirements:
-Initial or higher
degree in education, human resource management/development,
vocational/technical education or related discipline
-Approximately 5
years professional experience in the HRD Sector
-Approximately 3
years relevant work experience in the field of demand-driven TVET reform
-Approximately 3
years' experience in carrying out professional TNAs and preparing HRD plans
-Approximately 3
years' experience in designing developmental training programmes based on adult
learning principles
-Experience in the
design of competency-based modular curricula and qualifications based on the
European Qualification Framework (EQF), learning outcomes and lifelong learning
principles
-Experience with TVET
standards and curricula development using a sectoral approach
-Have a high level of
proficiency/fluency in spoken and written Arabic and English
-Be aware of gender
and environmental issues
-Have good
organisational, report writing, communication and interpersonal skills
