Building on the EU «Private Sector Reconstruction in Gaza» (PRSG) programme, the TVET programmein Gaza is intended to improve the quality of selected reliable TVET providers in line with an identified demand from the private sector, to enhance the availability of qualified human resources in response to the needs of the local labour market (especially the private sector) and of the community at large, contributing to the socio-economic development of the Gaza Strip.
TVET and Labour Market Programme

To support the Programme Team at GIZ Office in Gaza, we are looking for a
“EU Assistant Coordinator” for the implementation of programme activities co-funded by the “EU supportto TVET in Gaza Strip” with the public and private sector partners.

Responsibilities and tasks include but are not limited to:
• Support of the EU Project Coordinator in managing and implementing the project activities mainly in the following areas:
• revision of “Guidelines for Applicants” for the partnership development projects and support to the projects’ design and implementation;
• preparation of agreements with eligible institutions of the selected projects and support to their implementation;
• assistance in all matters of procurement of equipment and services according to the project-support documents;
• follow up the implementation of the partnership projects with the lead partner to be in line with the agreed upon action plan for each project;
• identificationof projects’ outputs to be disseminated after evaluation and/or mainstreamed;
• organization of dissemination events;
• other activities related to the programme implementation.
• In the context of these sub-components, responsibilities include:
• planning, design and development of new or follow-on activities;
• ensuring efficient and timely delivery of ongoing project milestones;
• coordination with technical teams of partner institutions;
• management of third party contractors;
• regularmonitoring, reporting and documentation of project progress and impact.
• Advising partner institutions in addition to assisting in the preparation of technical reports.
• Support of the EUProject Coordinator in monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
• Support of the EU Project Coordinator in management and administration.

Required qualifications:
• University degree in the fields of Economics, Business, Business Administration oranother relevant field;
• At least 5 years of professional experience in working in the Palestinian TVET sector or a private sector association or with international organizations in the fields of TVETsector development;
• Excellent project management skills and experiences;
• Fluency in English and Arabic (oral and written), knowledge of German would be an asset;
• Ability to work within interdisciplinary teams;
• Excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills;
• Computer literacy.
