International Medical Corps (IMC) is a non- governmental global, humanitarian, non-profit organization dedicated to provide mental health and psychosocial assistance to populations affected by wars, conflicts and disasters through the provision of services and capacity building.
IMC overall aim is saving lives and relieving suffering through health care training and relief and development programs. Established in 1984 by volunteer doctors and nurses, IMC's mission is to improve the quality of life through health interventions and related activities that build local capacity in underserved communities worldwide.

2-Background:

In January 2013, IMC received a fund from the European Union (EU) to implement “Self Help Self Heal” project that aimed to improve the lives of mental health service users and service providers in Gaza following the 2012 military conflict while building local capacity and generating new knowledge.

IMC is seeking a well-being trainer/animator to carry out well-being training workshops for service providers who have been exposed to trauma or have experienced a secondary trauma. The service providers who are providing various psychosocial services within community (e.g. IMC staff, partners’ staff, CBO’s staff) will gain knowledge & skills about emotional wellbeing promotion & maintaining. Various service providers will be equipped with self-help tools & gain expertise in promoting healing healers.This well-being training will be conducted as follows:

-Develop criteria and standards for emotional well-being care.
-Develop an Emotional Well-Being Care curriculum based on IMC (OPT) training material for service providers
-Conduct 30 emotional well-being training workshops for Service Providers (including IMC staff) who have been exposed to trauma or experienced secondary trauma
-Provide support to a minimum of 100 service providers in best practices to promote emotional well-being and self-help care

3-Scope of Work:
-Training material which will be used in the “Staff well-being” is to be approved and discussed with IMC Mental Health Specialist (MHS) and mental Health Manager, before implementation.
-Well-being materials should be sent to IMC for review or translation, if needed, at least one week before any implementation.
-The trainer/animator has to prepare a schedule for staff well-being days. This schedule is to be discussed and approved by IMC MHS and MHM. The final schedule is to be sent for IMC before implementation via e mail.
-To conduct the staff well-being days as planned previously with IMC technical team & as many as required.
-The trainer/animator has to use monitoring and evaluation (M & E) forms and tools produced by IMC M&E officer who will coordinate this process (Templates to be provided).
-To meet regularly with IMC MHS and MHM to report on schedule, progress, challenges and plan.
-To be supervised during the initial session of staff well-being by IMC technical team and receive/give feedback.

4-Minimum Qualification:
-Social worker, psychologist, animator, sport or recreation specialist or any related field.
-At least 1 year of experience in working with individuals in conducting staff well-being activities.
-Excellent technical skills & knowledge related to conducting staff wellbeing.
-Experience in training in staff wellbeing field.
-Excellent communication and presentation skills.
-High motivation to work & activation expertise.
-Flexibility in scheduling.
