seeks an IT Specialist for its USAID-funded Palestinian Justice
Enhancement Program (PJEP)
Enhancement Program (PJEP)
that works to strengthen
justice sector institutions and the rule of law in the West Bank and Gaza. In
addition to IT responsibilities, this position provides support to a variety of
other departments, including Procurement, Compliance, and Administration, on an
as-needed basis.
Responsibilities include:
• Configure and maintain desktop and laptop systems including anti-virus, operating systems
and application updates.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve hardware-, software-and network-related problems
encountered by end-users of the PJEP network and the Internet.
• Analyze bugs in system and application software; research and test possible solutions;
implement solutions.
• Website update and management.
• Provide support and maintenance for printers, networked copiers, scanners and faxes.
• Install, certify and troubleshoot network cabling infrastructure, including the local area
network equipment and software.
• Perform network administration maintenance, configure network file servers, develop
and enforce PJEP’s network security and installation procedures.
• Create and enforce formal guidelines, policies and procedures related to ensuring the
smooth, secured and error-free operations of PJEP’s network. Ensure network and processes conform to approved standards.
• Manage major network, hardware and security software.
• Maintain and monitor network systems and internet connectivity including configuration
management, backup, archival, and software upgrades.
• Provide data backup, retention, and restores as directed by supervisor.
• Participate in IT-related procurement as required, including developing specifications,
recommending responsible vendors, and participating in or advising technical evaluation
committees.
• Receive and inspect purchased IT supplies and services.
• Work with vendors to resolve hardware operating system issues.
• Other duties assigned by supervisor.
Education, Qualifications and/or Equivalent Experience:
• Minimum of BA degree in a relevant field
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant field
• Strong Arabic and English skills
