international, non-profit, educational organization in the West Bank and Gaza
with offices throughout the Middle East and North Africa.
AMIDEAST is recruiting for
a Deputy Chief of Party for the USAID-funded Leadership and Teacher Development
Program.

Responsibilities: The selected candidate will provide intellectual, technical and managerial leadership to the LTD Program (www.amideast.org/ltd). The period of performance will be from June 2013 to May 2016. The essential functions of the position include overseeing project management, compliance, finance, and procurement matters, such as:
-Developing and monitoring work plans and budgets
-Overseeing client reporting
-Facilitating procurement requirements, defining scopes of work and deliverables
-Ensuring contract compliance
-Managing human resources
-Oversight of some program staff
The ideal candidate will have the following:
-At least 15 years of professional experience and 10 years of USAID-specific experience in program operations and management.
Previous DCOP experience preferred.
-Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
-Strong knowledge of FAR and AIDAR Regulations
-Experience working on an education development project preferred
-Native level Arabic and English fluency, particularly excellent English writing skills
