Training Request for Fresh Graduate Engineers
Training -Gaza Strip Background: Mercy Corps (MC) is a nonprofit
international relief and development organization working in 41 countries and
serving more than 16 million beneficiaries.
Mercy Corps has had a
presence in the West Bank and Gaza since the 1980s, helping Palestinians meet
their immediate needs for survival and find durable solutions to chronic
problems. With offices in East Jerusalem, Ramallah and Gaza City, Mercy Corps
implements programs throughout the Palestinian territories.
MC is implementing an Economic Development project under the Palestinian Community Assistance Program (PCAP) funded by USAID. PCAP’s Economic Development program works in several sectors of Gaza’s local economy, and assists young people to prepare for work.
Brief about the Training:
MC will conduct Fresh Graduate Engineers Qualifying Training for 30 Gaza’s in partnership with Palestinian Contractors Union (PCU) for three months – 200 training hours.
-This training will be delivered by professional expert trainers in different fields.
-Registration for this program will start on Wednesday May 1st, 2013 to Saturday May 11th, 2013.
-This program will be implemented according to the following schedule:
-The total anticipated implementation/delivery is 3 months (200 training hours).

Target Group:
1-Fresh graduate from registered university with BA degree in the following professions (Civil engineering – Architecture engineering – Mechanical engineering and Electro-mechanical engineering).
2-Graduation years 2010 – 2011 – 2012 and 2013, with grade minimum 70%.
3-Employment situation: Unemployed or occasionally employed.
