II-Country Profile
ACTED is currently
implementing projects funded by ECHO, UN OCHA, and Europe Aid across the
occupied Palestinian territory. ACTED strives to strengthen the economic
capacities of cooperatives in rural areas, consolidate civil society
organisations, and provide emergency assistance to the most vulnerable, rural
communities in the West Bank. ACTED currently seeks an Information Management
Assistant for a one-year project that is implemented in the West Bank.
III. Position
Profile
Under the
supervision of the Emergency Project Manager, the Information Management
Assistant will be responsible for a project database (Microsoft Excel), data
entry, and preparation of regular graphical reports.
Continuous entry of
project data into databases in Microsoft Excel and Google Documents
Prepare graphical
reports on a weekly and monthly basis
Provide accurate
and timely reports to the Reporting department and the Appraisal, Monitoring
& Evaluation department
Resolve potential
problems relating to the database and propose improvements.
Support the Logistics
department on an exceptional basis to resolve IT issues in the office.
Comply fully with
ACTED standards and principles
IV-Qualifications:
Degree in
Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or, Business
Expert knowledge of
Microsoft Office and Google Docs
Previous work
experience with NGO in a similar position or in monitoring &
evaluation will be positively evaluated
Ability to produce
accurate reports under pressure
Advanced IT skills,
including experience with 2008 Windows Server preferred
Professional
attitude, good social skills, and ability to work in a team
Reliable,
open-minded, a positive attitude, and excellent in time management
Willingness to
improve skills and knowledge
Capable in planning
and problem solving
V-Conditions:
Excellent
communication and drafting skills
Fluent in Arabic
and English, spoken and written, including correct spelling, grammar and
punctuation
Outstanding IT
skills, including expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and
Google Docs
Interest in data
visualization and graphic design are a plus
