Summary:
The Field Finance Officer (FFO) performs the day to day financial management of the field office through reviewing, auditing, analyzing and monitoring field office program expenses, preparing disbursements, receipts, adjusting entries, and entering transactions into PeopleSoft (Pamodzi). The Field Finance Officer in coordination with the Program Officers, Program Coordinators and Area Manager will prepare cash flow documents, update bank books, prepare donor expenditure reports, and participate in the budget preparation for new proposals, for the field office and in any budget modifications and building the capacity of CARE partners and sub awardees.
Required education
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent combination of education and experience. -Desired: MBA/Financial Management, or CPA
Required experience:
-Minimum three years of experience in accounting
-Experience in budgeting and budget Monitoring
-Extensive experience in analyzing and applying differing requirements and regulations.
-Desired: Two years of experience working for NGOs or similar not-for-profit organizations and prior auditing experience.
