Humanitarian & Emergency Affairs Officer /GAZA
The successful candidate will:
• Ensure that all activities related to HEA are in alignment with the national strategy
• Initiate/Participate in AMENCA field activities and develop immediate vulnerability analysis
• Conduct community trainings directly or through qualified trainers
• Write monthly, quarterly and annual report and submit to appropriate channels within the organization
• Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor degree in social science or a relevant field.
• At least 3 years' experience in relief and development work
• Strong experience in field report writing, assessment and data collection
• Experience in the development and implementation of training programs and capacity building initiatives
• Familiarity with humanitarian quality assurance mechanisms including Sphere, Red Cross Code of Conduct, Humanitarian Accountability Partnership, Do No Harm, People in Aid, Code of Good Practice
• Strong commitment to build and work in a team environment
• Strong communications skills (English & Arabic)
• Experience in working with and in liaison of other stakeholders including UN agencies and INGOs
• Thinking clearly, deeply and broadly
• Commitment to achieving quality results and service
• Practicing gender and cultural diversity.
• Excellent analytical skills and problem solving skills
• Ability and willingness to travel frequently to ADP/Project areas
• Valid driving license and ability to operate 4x4 vehicles
• Integrity and strong identification with WV Core Values.
