Community Mental Health Programme-GCMHP is a non-governmental non- profit association providing community mental health services, 
conducting studies and research on different psychosocial phenomena’s, and designing and implementing training programs for mental health professionals. GCMHP would like to announce for the position of Proposal Writing & Projects Monitoring Officer.
Proposal Writing & Projects Monitoring Officer (2 post) / fulltime
 
Job Summary: 
The Proposal Writing & Projects Monitoring Officer will be responsible for the overall management of GCMHP Strategic Plan and other projects. Under the supervision of the International Relations and Fundraising Director, the Proposal Writing & Projects Monitoring Officer will write concept papers and proposals for existing and potential donors. S/he will also manage the implementation of the project activities with GCMHP's Community Centers and Departments, including planning, organizing, follow up, monitoring and evaluation and timely accurate reporting of the activities. 
 
Main Tasks and Responsibilities: 
1-To prepare concept papers and proposals for donors in mental health and psychosocial support field. 
2-To coordinate and monitor the implementation of annual action plan projects in cooperation with the Managers of the GCMHP community centers and other departments.
3-To conduct regular field monitoring visits of project activities in the community centers and the field to ensure quality implementation. 
4-To develop and implement reporting formats of the projects activities. 
5-To gather and analyze data to prepare regular reports as required by the donors and the Programs Manager, and maintain a database including baseline and follow up. 
6-To prepare monthly progress reports about the achievements of the indicators and advice about any corrective measures. 
7-To conduct evaluation of the projects activities through questionnaires, focus groups and interviews with key informants and beneficiaries. 
8-To assist in organizing and preparing procurement process of the projects requirements and follow up project expenses and expenditures. 
9-To manage administration and filing systems for the projects including contracts, correspondences, meeting minutes… etc 
10-To assist in the fundraising activities including, drafting concept papers and proposals as requested by the programs Manager.  
11-To lead and supervise projects teams and volunteers as delegated by the Programs Manager. 
12-To coordinate for and assist in selecting partner organizations and end beneficiaries of the project through setting selection criteria and field visits in cooperation with other GCMHP departments.
13-To undertake any other related tasks as requested by the Programs Manager. 
 
Competencies:
-Demonstrated ability to establish, manage, support and monitor field programs.
-Strong analytical and communication skills. 
-Demonstrated ability related to management of project cycles, including monitoring, reporting and evaluation. 
-Ability to work efficiently and independently under pressure. 
 
Skills and Minimum Qualifications:
-Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Health management, Development Studies or any other related field, higher studies are preferable.
-Minimum of 3 years of proven extensive experience working in projects management. 
-Strong communication skills, with excellent written and spoken English.
-Experience of a flexible approach for managing and prioritizing high workloads and multiple tasks in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines. 
-Advanced computer skills especially in Microsoft Applications. 
 
Contract: One year (renewable upon availability of fund) (the first three months probationary period)
