Job Title: Project Field Coordinator Juvenile Justice
Work Base: Gaza strip
Project title: Project to Increase the Respect of Children in Conflict with the Law’s Rights at all Stages of the Juvenile Justice System
Reporting to: JJ Coordinator / Gaza Office Manager
Duration:7 months renewable, 60% (3 days per week)
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Monitor programme implementation by the partner organisation and respect of the project objectives
-Perform coaching sessions to increase POs’ capacity to carry out their role at all stages of the justice procedure
-Supervise the organization of Probation Officers’ activities and identifies potential difficulties faced by the POs.
-Identify focus persons within the communities to plan and organize the sensitization program towards the community leaders
-Plan and organize meetings with local administration, partners and others relevant stakeholders to support juvenile rights
-Organize and facilitate roundtables and multi-stakeholders workshops with formal and informal justice actors
-Ensure formal and informal contacts with MoSA, the police, the prosecution and other relevant actors in the Gaza strip.
-Map state and non-state actors in JJ sector
-Conduct a survey among children in conflict with the law on their experiences with the juvenile justice system and in detention
-Carry out any other task that is requested by the JJ Project Manager
CHILD PROTECTION POLICY
-Commit to respect the Tdh Child Protection Policy and principles of child protection.
-Commit to ensure the best implementation possible of the Child Protection Policy in oPt.
-Commit to inform supervisors and to deal with any cases, allegations, or possibility of transgression, even potential, of the Child Protection Policy.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCES
-University degree in law
-5 years of experience in the law sector, ideally with an NGO.
-Experience in the field of juvenile justice and child protection
-Fluency in English and Arabic a must; French a strong asset
-Excellent writing and reporting skills
-Driving licence
-Academics strongly encouraged to apply

-Ability to be flexible, cooperative and to work autonomously
-Good trainer
-Ability to work in a team
-Strong organizational skills
-Good communication and reporting skills, ability to deal with authorities
-Understanding, interest and commitment to humanitarian activities
