II-Country Profile
ACTED is currently
implementing projects funded by ECHO, UN OCHA, and Europe Aid across the
occupied Palestinian territory. ACTED strives to strengthen the economic
capacities of cooperatives in rural areas, consolidate civil society
organisations, and provide emergency assistance to the most vulnerable, rural
communities in the West Bank. ACTED currently seeks a Field Supervisor for a
one-year project that is implemented in the West Bank
III-Position
Profile
Under the
supervision of the Project Manager, the Field Supervisor is in charge of
coordinating in a team the ACTED emergency response for vulnerable, rural
communities in the West Bank. Responsibilities include collecting and analysing
field information to be used by the Programme Development and AME (Appraisal,
Monitoring & Evaluation) departments.
-Accomplish all the
duties according to schedule and deadlines foreseen by the project and set by
the Project Manager
-Visit regularly
all the spots in the villages/towns to supervise all implementation procedures.
-Collect all the
beneficiaries’ related documents (copy of ID, certificates…)
-Interview on the
spot each single beneficiary and fill the related beneficiary assessment form.
-Check delivery of
provided materials to the location and confirm that it meets the agreed
specifications in the contracts.
-Coordinate with
legal support organisations before and after providing materials to sites
-Update daily the
Project Manager about the situation of the ongoing activities.
-Submit regular and
ad hoc reports to the Project Manager as directed.
-Inform ACTED staff
about potential problems and solutions vis-à-vis related risks.
-Ready and flexible
to the needs of the organization.
-Coordinate with
the Palestinian Authority (ministries, village councils) and partner field
staff
-Prepare and attend
internal and external meetings on a weekly basis
-Coordinate donor
visits to beneficiary locationsComply fully with ACTED standards and principle
IV-Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree
in Civil Engineering, Community development, or related field
-3-4 years work experience
with NGOs in the field and in similar position will be positively evaluated
-Good knowledge
about international humanitarian principles
-Professional
attitude, good social skills, and ability to work in a team
-Knowledge of
technical specifications of construction materials
-Accurate,
reliable, open-minded, and a positive attitude
-Good in time
management, and ability to work under pressure
-Willingness to
improve skills and knowledge
-Capable in
planning and problem solving.
V-Conditions:
-Excellent
communication and drafting skills
-Fluent in Arabic
and English, spoken and written, including correct spelling, grammar and
punctuation
-Outstanding IT
skills, including expert knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Docs
-Valid Driving
license.
