MA’AN Development Center is an independent Palestinian development and training institution established in January, 1989, registered by law as a non-profit organization.
The main office is located in Ramallah and the four branch offices are located in Gaza, KhanYounis, Tulkarem and Jenin. MA’AN's work is informed by the necessity of creating independent, self-reliant initiatives that lead to the development of human resources for sustainable development, which incorporate values of self-sufficiency and self-empowerment.
MA’AN Development Center has awarded grants to implement several projects in Gaza Strip, and seeking for the following vacancy:
Position title: Project Coordinator
Project Duration: 10 MONTHS, Possibility for one year extension.
Tasks and responsibilities:
1-Administrative and technical supervision, follow up and implementation of project's activities.
2-Preparation of detailed and effective project action plans.
3-Supervision of technical and field staff involved in the project(s)
4-Close Follow up on the implementation of the different components of the project(s).
5-Develop the necessary administrative procedures to effectively achieve project(s) deliverables and outcomes.
6-Ensure all project activities are implemented in a timely manner and according to donor’s rules and regulations.
7-Plan and conduct regular field visits to ensure proper activities implementation on the ground.
8-Prepare periodical reports as requested by MA'AN and donor in consultation with the Project Manager.
9-Assist the finance department in preparing periodic financial documents and reports
10-Assist the Monitoring and Evaluating officer for monitoring and evaluation of the project by reporting to donor on the project outputs and outcomes.
11-To document all activities of the project(s) and maintain an efficient project(s) filing system including all project related documents.
12-Participate in the representation MA'AN in workshops, conferences or seminars commissioned by MA'AN Director.
13-Perform any other tasks required by supervisor or MA'AN Director.
Directly reporting to: community development Program Officer/Program Manager/M&E Officer
Qualifications:
-At least a Bachelor degree from recognized university in social science, public relations, business administration or related fields.
-A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in management of development and humanitarian projects.
-Excellent experience in capacity building, lobbying and advocacy activities.
-Knowledge of community development strategies and good governance practices
-Excellent networking and coordination skills.
-Fluency in both English & Arabic languages including both written and verbal communication skills.
-Excellent reporting skills in both English & Arabic.
-Ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
-Advanced computer literacy.
-Ability to work under pressure and within a team.
-Ability to start working immediately.

1-Work experience in monitoring, collection of information and advocacy Knowledge of human rights and Rights Based Approach to Development
2-Knowledge of international legitimacy of human rights instruments and procedures, including international human rights law and humanitarian law.
3-Excellent communication and coordination skills, with strong personality.

5-Initiative, self-reliant and cooperative.
6-Excellent time and organizational management skills.
