The Arab American University is seeking qualified candidates to fulfill the following positions for its Computer Center:

-Network Technician

Required skills and qualifications:

• Diploma in Networking or related fields.

• Considerable network system design and development methods and techniques.

• Extensive knowledge of computer network system protocols.

• Good knowledge of IP addressing and TCP/IP networking.

• Strong knowledge of network management practices and procedures.

• CCNA, Network+, A+ is a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Installs, certifies and troubleshoots related on campus and off campus network cabling infrastructure including a wide variety of local area network equipment and software.

• Assisting moving and installing hardware in appropriate locations across the site including lifting bulky and heavy items.

• Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary  maintenance to support network availability.

• Maintenance of a hardware inventory under the supervision of the Network Engineer.

• Assists in maintaining the operating system and security software utilized on the network.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
