Title: Design Monitoring & Evaluation Coordinator
Ref: DMEC/A/05/2013
Duration: one year, renewable (Full time)
Main duties:
• Overall monitoring, review and evaluation of IR projects in Gazastrip.
• Setting up procedures for data collection and analysis as well as creating mechanisms and formats for both internal and external reporting.
• Development of indicators and tools that enable IR to measure the overall impact of its work.
• Working with IR programmes staff to design and institute a specific monitoring and evaluation plan for all existing and new projects, based on IR M&E system.
• Responsible for training staff and partners in M&E practices, in general, and IR›s procedures in particular.
• Participate in the dissemination of monitoring and evaluation results and feedback into planning of future projects and programs including the preparation of special reports and lessons learned materials.
• Ensure that IR projects comply with donor monitoring and evaluation requirements for performance measurement and reporting.
• Support the Programmes staff in projects design, developing logical frameworks, designing and implementing needs assessments, base-line/end-line surveys, and analyzing their results.
• Conduct regular field visits to project sites to ensure that monitoring systems and data collection tools are accurate and efficient
Candidates must possess the following competencies:
1. Bachelor degree from an accredited University, preferably Master›s degree in community development, organizational development (OD) or management.
2. Five years of increasingly responsible experience in projects management, monitoring and evaluation preferably in international NGOs.
3. Excellent Knowledge of Project management theory, principles and practices and their applications to a wide variety of projects transactions and problems.
4. Knowledge of Principles and standard practices of project cycle management.
General skills required for Coordinator:
1. Excellent written and spoken English as well as Arabic language
2. Strong planning and coordination skills.
3. Strong communication, interpersonal & technical skills.
4. Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
5. Ability to multi-task effectively as well as display professionalism and confidence.
