Local Coordinator - The Temporary International Presence - Hebron

The Temporary International Presence in Hebron (TIPH) is an international civilian observer mission. The TIPH assists the parties in the normalisation of the situation in the city and reports on their efforts and the breaches




of the agreements on Hebron and international law. TIPH reports to the Palestinian and Israeli authorities and to the six member countries. The (TIPH) is looking for a Local Coordinator to assist TIPH personnel on a daily basis under the supervision of the Research, Analysis and Information Division. The Local Coordinator is expected to represent TIPH in a responsible manner and always act in accordance with TIPH’s Code of Conduct.

Main Duties:
-Organise and conduct meetings with local community to identify and select beneficiaries
-Assist TIPH in planning and executing projects with its partner organisations
-Assist CR in facilitating contacts with organisations, contact between partner organisations and TIPH, prepare and/or edit meeting minutes, presentations and tables
-Coordinate external and internal activities
-Update the overview of the projects
-Assist DHRAI in updating and controlling the budget
-Draft working contracts with partner organisations
-Translate project proposals
-Translate and interpret presentations
-The Local Coordinator supports RAI Division with translations of meetings, presentations, and various reports
-Preparing/drafting reports

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
-Relevant university degree or equivalent
-Minimum of three years experience in international organisations
-Experience in project/program management
-The candidate must show initiative in performing task and have a high level of personal integrity
-Excellent spoken and written English language skills
-Computer literacy in word, outlook, excel and PowerPoint Personal qualifications
-Outgoing and service-minded
-Excellent interpersonal skills and cultural awareness
-Strong analytical skills
-The candidate must show initiative in performing tasks and have a high level of personal integrity
-Respect and understanding for the culture of the work place
-Ability to work independently as well as in a team
-Ability to work under pressure, and still act with calm and resolve
-Ability to adapt quickly to new work situations and accept adverse working

conditions
